A 'self-portrait' of sorts, the Scout was created by world famous sculptor Frederic Remington, done in the typical fashion of lost wax casting. It features Frederic atop a horse with a rock imaging underneath. It is available in medium and regular size. Regular size is how Remington originally sculpted this piece making it the most popular size as well as having more detail than the other size. Cast in the traditional "Lost Wax Process" with magnificent patina finish that is hand-applied for highlights that create natural variations in texture and color. The sculpture is then hand-rubbed to bring out the awesome detail and highlights. The sculpture is cast in 100% American bronze and mounted on a high quality marble base with an etched brass plate.
