This set of three Chinese emperors is painted in colorful red, yellow, and blue, representing the three generations of the most popular emperors in Chinese history. The oldest of the three Qing (1644-1912) emperors was Kangxi, who reigned from 1662-1722. Kangxi reestablished peace by adopting much of the Ming bureaucratic structure and espousing Confucian ideals of government and ushered in an era of reconstruction. Yongzheng, who reigned from 1723-35, completed the institutional restructuring of the Qing state. However, it was under Kangxi's grandson, Qianlong, who reigned from 1736-95, that the empire reached the height of its power. This set of three Chinese emperors is made of fine porcelain, and is a distinctive collectible for any enthusiast of Chinese history.
